Today, on our 2019 Chevrolet Blazer, we're going to be taking a look at, and showing you how to install, the CIPA Universal-Fit Dual Lens Towing Mirror, which is also sold as a set.Whenever we use a towing mirror, it's really going to expand our field of view. That can be really useful whenever we're making lane changes, backing up into a tight parking spot, or maybe just wanting to keep a closer eye on what's going on behind us. So to give you an example on how much more ground we're going to be able to cover: as you can see, I'm visible in our towing mirror and not in our factory mirror. And since the towing mirror does have that dual lens, you're not only able to see me up close, but also kind of more of a wide angle as well.However, if I take a few steps closer to our boat, I'll disappear out of that towing mirror and become visible in our factory mirror. So first thing's first, this does come in a pack of two, and it comes with a nice little carrying case, so that's pretty cool. But you want to grab the driver's side mirror. So we're going to go ahead and take our mirror. And what we're going to do is we're going to hook on these top loops first, get those into place, and then we're going to slowly kind of rotate this down and then give it a good push. more

And that's literally all we got to do and everything is nice and tight. Rob: Hey everybody, Rob here at etrailer.com. Today, we're going to be taking a look at the Longview custom towing mirrors on our 2020 Chevrolet Silverado. Now having a towing mirror is going to be really nice because it's going to be able to extend your field of view, which makes it a lot easier and safer for us, when we're towing a trailer. Now here, you can see me, I'm at the back of my trailer, hooked up to my Silverado and you can see me in the factory mirror. It's not a big deal, but if we need to change lanes or possibly get over, make a big turn, we'd like to see what's over there before we start moving. The problem comes in, if I step away, you're going to lose track of me in the factory mirror, but that's where our towing mirror comes in. more

Hey everybody, Ryan here at etrailer.Today on our 2020 Chevrolet Equinox, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the SEPA universal fit towing mirror, which is also sold as a set.Towing mirror really going to expand our field of view.That can be especially useful whenever making a lane change, backing up into a tight parking spot, or just wanting to keep a closer eye on what's going on behind us.So to give you an example, how much more ground we're going to be able to cover, as you can see, I'm visible and they're telling me, but not our factory mirror.Now, if I take a few steps closer to our trailer, I'll disappear out of that towing mirror and become visible in our factory mirror.that's also really going to help to eliminate any blind spots as well.One of the biggest questions we get in regards to universal fit towing mirrors is if you're going to have any vibration or noise, especially at higher speeds.Well, this one does clamped to the factory mirror and it really is solid.If I kind of move it around, you can see it's just moving with the factory mirror.So I really don't see that causing an issue for you.And since our towing mirror is going to extend the overall width of our Equinox, sometimes it may be a little tricky to pull into tight spots.As you need to free up some space, you still are able to completely fold the mirror in the Toe of your lens in this position.There's a little contact, but if you just rotate it, it'll give you that extra enter so that you might need.And even with the towing mirror in place, we're still able to maintain all of our adjustability with our factory mirror.That's really good to come in handy.That way you don't have to sacrifice any visibility.Towing mirror itself is also completely adjustable.You're going to be able to adjust it up and down side to side, pretty much any which way you want.You can even rotate it a full 360 degrees.So you shouldn't have any problems finding a position that works best for you.And since this tow mirror is universal, chances are pretty good.If you happen to have another vehicle in the household, it'll probably work with that too.And if you want to switch them around, it's really not too big of a headache because how easy this is to put on and take off.Speaking of which let's go ahead and pull it all together now.So the way we get our mirror on is these two knobs, which you're going to do is loosen them up.And that's going to create a bigger gap in between these two pieces here.So once you have that created, it will just simply slide that onto the factory mirror, kind of hold it in place and then just evenly turn the knobs to clamp it down.Once you have it nice and snowing. If you picked up a set, you simply just repeat this process over on the other side.And that'll finish up our look at and our installation of the SEPA universal fit towing mirror on our 2020 Chevrolet Equinox. more

Colin: Hey guys, it's Colin here at etrailer. Today, we have a 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. We're going to test fit the Longview custom-fit towing mirrors. These are made to fit the housing of our '19 Silverado side mirrors. This is just going to give us some more visibility while we're towing our big campers or any other trailer we might have. Because we don't have any factory towing mirrors, this is a nice option to make sure they don't have any blind spots when we're wanting to change lanes or even when we want to back up.As you can see, it just slides right over our side mirror of our Silverado. more

Connor: Hey guys, Connor here at etrailer.com. Today, we're going to be taking a look at the CIPA Universal Towing Mirrors for our 2019 Chevrolet Silverado. Our CIPA Towing Mirrors here are going to be an excellent option for our Chevrolet Silverado. Now our factory mirrors are a little bit on the smaller side, so they're not going to be ideal for some of the larger trailers and it's going to make driving down the road a little more stressful. However, these CIPA Towing Mirrors are going to solve that problem because they're going to extend our field of view outward, and we're going to get a better view of our trailer so we can have a safer travel.And just to give you a better idea now about the visibility of these tow mirrors, you can see myself standing in the factory tow mirror here. However, if I was to move outward away from the trailer, we would then disappear from the factory mirror but since we have our CIPA Towing Mirrors we would then see our view over here and this is going to help us when we're changing lanes or cars are coming up on our blind spot.So what I really like about these CIPA Towing Mirrors are they're not going to interfere with any of our factory functions. more

To give you an example, as you can see, I'm visible in our towing mirror, but not in our factory mirror. And that's just how much more you're going to be able to see. If I take a few steps closer to the truck, I'll disappear out of the towing mirror and become visible in the factory mirror. Now, one of the main things that separates this towing mirror from many of the others is that it's going to have two lenses, which then enables us to have maximum adjustability and allow you to see whatever you need to.One of the main questions we get asked about in regards to universal fit towing mirrors is if they're going to rattle or vibrate at high speeds, and to be honest with you, the way this one fits really tight against our factory mirror, I don't really see it being much of a problem, at least not bad enough to bother you.With the towing mirror in place, we're still going to have quite a bit of adjustability of our factory mirror. more

It's going to help us a lot when we're backing up, parking, or even changing lanes. Right now you can see me in the towing mirror, but you can't see me in the factory mirror. That's how much more we're going to be able to see with the towing mirror installed.These towing mirrors are universal fit, so if you have another SUV or a truck in the household, chances are pretty good you can use it with those too.Keep in mind on our Equinox it does limit our adjustability of the factory mirror, however you can make up for some of that adjustability because the towing mirror itself has quite the range of motion.You're not going to have to worry about our towing mirror damaging your vehicle's finish, because the straps are rubber coated. If you need to fold your mirror in for whatever reason, you can still do that.To begin our install we're going to take our towing mirror, we're going to make sure that these plastic clips are pushed all the way down like this. These are actually going to rest in our mirror housing, that way when we tighten it, these will hold our towing mirror to our factory mirror.I'm going to go ahead and push our plastic clips in between the mirror glass itself and the housing. more
